White Water Course

Enjoy a family stroll around the unique white water course at Tees Barrage and experience white water action up close and personal. Watch the action unfold as white water kayakers and white water rafters tackle the rapids and whirl their way around the raging waters. Did you know over 14 tonnes of raging water pass through the course every second!

Weekends are a great time to bring the family along to explore the whole site. Throw the scooters in the boot and come along to enjoy a fun day out at Tees Barrage. You will find a number of signs around the site with information about everything from the engineering of the Barrage to the wildlife that occupy the river. You can finish the day off with a spot of lunch in the Barrage Cafe with remarkable views across the river.
