What’s at Air Trail?

There’s something for everyone at this incredible climbing park. Set over 4 levels and standing at 18 metres high, your aim is to conquer more than 30 challenging obstacles floating high above the River Tees. Find an exciting assortment of wobbly rope bridges, troublesome tight ropes, crazy cargo nets, rickety balancing beams, and swinging stepping stones. Take on the mighty ‘walk the plank’ challenge, then whizz along two full-length zip wires to complete your high-flying mission.

Air Trail is a huge hit at Tees Barrage. Make it a proper family day out with a look around the nearby nature reserve, or bike ride along the local cycle routes.

Who can do Air Trail?

The best thing about our climbing park is that you can choose your own route and make your own adventure. No experience needed and we provide the equipment! All you need is nerves of steel and a spirit for outdoor adventure.

But if you think this is a kids’ climbing park, think again. Adults can unleash their inner Tarzan and join in the action, too. Plus, even mini explorers can enjoy themselves at our exciting Air Tykes section. This is a smaller course directly underneath Air Trail for children aged two years and over.
