We are excited to bring back white water paddling for you and we can’t wait to welcome you back to Tees Barrage.
We have introduced new procedures at the centre including online booking to make things as safe as possible for staff and customers, so it is essential that everyone takes the time to read the details on this page including the FAQ’s which will answer any of your questions and address some of your concerns. You can also read our latest statement here.
Initially sessions will run every Saturday, however it’s important to highlight that the session time and duration that we will first introduce is only temporary, and we will be assessing things regularly, with a view to making changes when it is right to do so.
Running every Saturday and selected Wednesday’s. Click below to book.
Each session is two hours long and costs £15 per person.
All bookings must be made through the TBIWWC dedicated booking system (a link will be shared on this page when the booking page is activated).
This will help us to control and assess the flow of visitors on the course in the early stages of reopening. During this time there will be no walk up visitors allowed.
There will be 30 spaces available in each session to ensure the safety of our paddlers.
There are limited spaces on each session and these will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer any discounts, due to the limited capacity of the sessions we need to fill as many of the spaces to make the sessions viable. To make it fair to everyone, no one will be able to pre-book sessions prior to the sessions being made available.
We ask that there are only two paddlers per eddy at any given time. We also ask all paddlers to follow social distancing rules both on and off the water. This means preparing to give way to upstream paddlers. We also ask that there is no intentional swimming and that slalom gate positions are not to be moved by paddlers, spectators or coaches.
