Water Quality

All of our watersports activities take place on the River Tees on water from high on the Pennines journeying its way down the river towards the sea. On its journey there may be factors that can potentially change the quality of water in the river from day to day and therefore we cannot guarantee the open body of water is bathing quality.  So remember, this is not drinking water so please ensure that after using this facility or any other body of open water, that you clean your hands and shower before eating to reduce the risk of illness.

Other paddle sport safety guidelines

To use the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee white water course, all paddlers must complete and sign (or be signed by a parent/guardian if under 18) a ‘Paddler Medical Consent Form’ and a ‘Health & Safety and Risk Declaration Form’.  These must be submitted when signing-in at Reception, they will be kept for one calendar year and new forms need to re-submitted on an annual basis thereafter.

The forms can be sourced from the TBIWWC Reception, or downloaded from the Booking Forms page and printed off and completed in advance.
