Hire Tees Barrage International White Water Course for your next event/competition/party. From annual canoe and kayak competitions to freestyle jet ski shows, Tees Barrage has so much scope and flexibility it is a truly unique, world class venue. Whatever your vision we will do our best to accommodate you.

Here at Tees Barrage we have a number of different areas available for hire, depending on your requirements. The main areas that make up Tees Barrage are: the main centre building which includes the Barrage Café, NorthShore Watersports and shower/changing facilities; the flat water warm up lake which is the placid body of water between Air Trail and the centre and the 300 metre Jubilee and the 95 metre Diamond white water courses.

Course Features

• Jubilee Course – 300 metre white water course
• Diamond Course – 95 metre short course (the steepest artificial course in the UK).
• Rapidblocs™ system – to precisely shape flows of water into a series of waves and eddies, making it challenging for the elite paddlers in particular.
• A Lazyboy conveyer belt system – which transports users from the end of the white water course right back to the start.
• Four 12m x 3m Archimedes’ Screws – used to pump the water needed to create guaranteed conditions for water sports. They also generate electricity.
• The main centre building which includes a reception, changing facilities and a watersports shop which sells all the latest boating equipment.

Jubilee Course

The 300 metre long white water rafting and kayaking course has been reconfigured with new eddies, a slalom gate system and is twice the depth of the previous course which is ideal for pulling those moves. All of the old features remain, but they are bigger and better than ever before.

Diamond Course

The new 95 metre Diamond course (one of the steepest in the UK) has a drop of 3.7 metres from top to bottom which makes this a great addition to the venue. Fully capable of taking up to 14 cumecs (possibly more); this short course is not for the faint hearted! This is an ideal finale to a Water Rafting experience, or for those paddlers who want more of a challenge in a controlled environment.
