Like you, we have been awaiting more detailed information regarding a proposed completion date for the maintenance work on the course and handover back from Canal & River Trust. Unfortunately, we have no involvement with the physical works or completion timeline, however, there is now water in the course, and whilst there is still work going on in the background, this is great news that a reopening date is seemingly getting closer.
As soon as we receive further information we will update you all and will publish the summer programme for the course.
Thanks for your patience and fingers crossed it won’t be long before we’re all back on the water.

Renamed as the River Tees Trail (formerly known as Endeavour Route) after the HMS Endeavour departed its Stockton docking for a new home on the shores of Whitby. The route however has remained the same departing from Tees Barrage and gripping the waters edge as you ride down towards Millennium Bridge and then cross the river taking in the superb views of the River Tees. Then navigate past the small river inlets in Teesdale Business Park before heading along the Tees and down towards Infinity Bridge before heading back to your starting point. This ride can be shortened with a return to Tees Barrage or the full loop can be enjoyed crossing the river and heading to the Infinity Bridge.
Watch the video of the full route or follow our step by step guide below so you can plan your trip.
